Cristiano Ronaldo leads Real Madrid in the Champions League in terms of assists

Cristiano Ronaldo is the Champions League king. The competition's all-time leading scorer is having an impressive campaign this time around in terms of assists. In fact, he is the leading Real Madrid player in this respect, with a total of 4. Carvajal (3) and James (2) follow him on the list.

The Portuguese striker, who has already recorded more assists than in the previous two seasons, is one away from equalling his best of five, which he managed in the 2013/14 campaign. So far this season he has laid on goals for Asensio and Morata in the thrashing of Legia in the third game; for Varane against Sporting CP on the fifth match day; and for Kroos in the first leg of the last-sixteen against Napoli.

If all competitions are taken into account, Cristiano has already made seven assists this season. Added to his four in the Champions League are a further three in LaLiga. Only James (11) and Kroos (10) have set up more goals than the Portguese man.
